1. Jumping jacks or squats can help warm your body and get your blood flowing. Movement helps warm your body and increase blood flow to your skin.

Note: Only do exercises you feel comfortable doing.

1. Washing hands will help prevent contaminating the collection items.

1. Find a flat area with little to no hair on the outside of your upper arm.

1. Activate the heat pack by bending the metal disc back and forth. You should hear a click, and the gel inside may slightly change color. Activation may take several clicks.

Note: The heat pack helps increase blood flow to the skin, which can support a successful sample collection.

1. Place the heat pack vertically on the upper arm for FOUR minutes.

Note: The heat pack may be taken off if the temperature becomes uncomfortable.

1. Clean your heated shoulder with the provided alcohol pad to disinfect and remove oils.
2. Make sure the alcohol dries before proceeding to the next step.

1. Remove the EasyDraw Collector from the clamshell packaging by peeling off the backing.

1. Push and twist the Sample Tube into the EasyDraw Collector until it is secure.

1. Remove the Clear Safety Cap over the Red Button.
2. Peel away the adhesive backing from the EasyDraw Collector.
3. Don’t touch the exposed adhesive.

1. Hold the EasyDraw Collector by the sides.
2. With the tube pointing down, press the EasyDraw Collector firmly against your skin.

Note: Once the EasyDraw Collector is secure, you can let go. The adhesive will hold it in place.

1. Press the red button firmly until you hear a click. Continue holding for 3 seconds after the click.
2. Then click Next immediately.

Important: Remove the device after 3 minutes!

1. It may take up to 90 seconds for blood to appear in the sample tube.
2. For pink top tubes, the sample should reach between 250 µL and 375 µL.
3. For green top tubes, the sample should reach 3/4 of the tube.
4. After 5 minutes, remove the EasyDraw Collector even if the sample has not reached between 250 µL and 375 µL for pink top tubes or 3/4 full for green top tubes.

1. Gently peel the EasyDraw Collector away from your skin, like removing a sticker.

Note: The device is held in place only by the adhesive and a gentle vacuum.

1. Remove collection tube: Remove the tube by gently pulling and twisting it off of the device.
2. Cap collection tube: Press the cap firmly onto the tube until you hear a click.
3. Flip the collection tube 10 times: Gently tap the tube on a table and then flip the tube at least 10 times to mix the contents.

Tube contents should be liquid and not clumpy after flipping. Keep mixing gently until no clumps remain.

1. Check the sample level in your Sample Tube.
2. If there is too little or too much sample, the lab may not be able to process it.

1. Use the provided gauze to wipe your skin.
2. Apply the adhesive bandage.
3. Keep the bandage on for 24 hours.

1. Fill out the collection card with your name, today’s date, and your
   date of birth, then place it into the side pocket of the specimen bag.
2. Place the sample tubes into the larger transport tube and then
   place the transport tube into the specimen bag. Place the cold pack
   and the specimen bag containing your samples into the insulated
   silver bag and seal it.
3. Return the same day directly to an indoor FedEx location for the
   most reliable delivery. Please do not use FedEx drop boxes, as these
   can get extremely hot or cold during the day.
