Frequently Asked Questions
Is the SiPhox at-home test kit equivalent to standard labs?
Yes, absolutely. Our at-home test kits meet the highest standards of laboratory testing:
- CLIA/CAP Accredited: We partner with a laboratory that holds both Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certification and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation. These are the gold standards in laboratory testing.
- Rigorous Validation: Each assay undergoes extensive validation to meet and exceed federal CLIA requirements. This ensures accuracy and reliability comparable to traditional lab tests.
- Quality Assurance: Our lab employs strict quality control measures to guarantee consistent and accurate results.
- FDA-Registered Components: All components of our test kits are registered with the FDA, ensuring safety and efficacy.
- Expert Analysis: Your results go through the standard analysis required by CLIA and overseen by medical experts, then we personalize your results with additional insights and recommendations for optimal health.
With SiPhox, you're getting the convenience of at-home testing without compromising on the quality and accuracy you'd expect from a traditional laboratory setting.
How accurate are these tests?
We exclusively work with CLIA/CAP accredited labs that perform extensive validation on each assay to meet federal CLIA requirements. All our tests have a 95%-99% correlation coefficient when compared with standard venous blood draw results.
We independently perform in house testing against Labcorp and Quest on a quarterly basis to monitor and ensure our lab partners are meeting these standards.
Is a small blood sample enough to give accurate results? Didn’t Theranos try this?
We collect a relatively large capillary sample using the EasyDraw arm collector patch. It’s around 50 times what Theranos was collecting. This ensures good repeatability and has been shown to work well for the analytes we are focused on. As part of CLIA/CAP validations every test we sell has been shown to have good agreement between matched capillary and venous draw samples.
What wearable devices are compatible?
We currently have the ability to support over 300 devices across ten categories. The most common devices our users connect are Apple Watch, Fitbit, Oura, EightSleep, Whoop, and Freestyle Libre.
How do I view my test results?
When your report is ready for viewing, you will receive an email letting you know your user portal has been updated. You can access your report at any time by logging in and scrolling down to "Your Reports".
How is SiPhox able to offer the lowest cost per biomarker in the industry?
- Our approach integrates up to 60 biomarkers into a single sample collection, optimizing the amount of data extracted from a single kit. This contrasts with other companies, which offer only 2-4 markers per kit, aiming to increase profits.
- Our model enables us to provide test kits at cost, with the strategy to boost demand and subsequently lower production expenses.
- Our organization specializes in developing blood testing hardware, with the ambition to enable instant at-home testing of all these markers at a cost significantly lower than current standards, without compromising the quality or accuracy of our tests.
What makes our reports unique?
Your reports are not just raw data. Our team created a unique scoring system called the Axes of Wellness that spans different health and lifestyle categories such as Inflammation, Metabolic, and Cardiovascular Health. With this, we take the guesswork out of interpreting your results and empower you with actionable insights to improve your wellness. If you would like to view your data in a traditional table format, you can do so by exporting the PDF within your report.
Can I modify, pause, or cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can easily do this inside your user portal any time after your initial purchase. There is no commitment whatsoever and you will keep access to your previous test data if you decide to cancel.
How is the SiPhox Health test different from the one I get at the yearly physical?
Each test is designed with a unique objective in mind. Our test complements the annual physical examination by including assessments for DHEA-S, cortisol, Ferritin, among others, thereby covering aspects not addressed by the standard yearly check-up.
Does SiPhox ship to Canada?
Yes! We service all of Canada and the U.S., excluding New York State. Please note that EasyDraw test kits are currently only available in the U.S.
