apoA

What is apoA?

ApoA (apolipoprotein A) is a protein carrier for HDL. apoA is considered to be the most informative biomarker for “good cholesterol.”

Why is it included in the Cardiovascular Axis?

Both HDL cholesterol and apoA-I are in most clinical conditions antiatherogenic- the higher the values, the lower the cardiovascular risk. Your apoA measurement can be an important predictor of your cardiovascular health. [1]
